MyOwnMusic.net was founded by Colette Washington
in 1998 during the production of her self-titled demo CD, in which
she composed, arranged, produced, performed, engineered all of the
music, lyrics and artwork. Thus came the name MyOwnMusic.
MyOwnMusic.net
is based in Oakland, California (USA). Independent music artists
everywhere are welcome and encouraged to join...and Tell a Friend.
Photographers,
graphic designers and Music Industry professionals are invited to
make products/services available to our list of artists.

A native of Humboldt
County and now proud resident of Oakland, Ms. Washington has more
than a decade of music marketing and promotional experience. She
is a top music business graduate of the Seattle
Art Institute and a true visionary. A passionate producer and
performer herself, Ms. Washington understands the unique challenges
independent artists are facing in today's music industry. Furthermore,
she is an accomplished composer with powerful lyrics and hypnotic
vocals.
