Nate started beating on tables and kicking the backs of chairs at an early age while growing up near Berkeley, California. When he started playing drums 9 years ago, his affinity for hitting things evolved from an annoyance into a much louder annoyance.

Now a resident of sunny Sunnyvale, Nate plays with the Foothill College Afternoon Jazz Ensemble and various jazz combos. His style walks the line between rock and jazz, with influences including Steve Gadd, Mitch Mitchell, Tim Carter, and Frank French.

When he's not playing drums, Nate spends time writing computer software, playing ultimate, foosball, and the nose flute.
